This still life was the first drawing I have done after 14 years of drawing absence in my life.
I don't quite really know what I was doing all those years without it. And it wasn't until then that I realised how much I've missed it.

- I have always been, and continue to be, passionate about art. I have worked in PR, Marketing and Accounts in addition to my interest in art. However, after long fourteen years of lasting artist block my almost forgotten artistic talents, my love affair with drawing was reignited and brought back to life again two years ago. I was self-taught in the early stages of my development. However, I have begun developing my artistic talents as a member of the Dublin Sketchers Group and have taken courses through the Kinsale Pottery and Arts Centre as well as with Trinity Arts Workshop here in Dublin. I work primarily with charcoal, graphite, pen, coloured pencils and soft pastel. In addition, I experiment with different mixed media and have recently added watercolours to my interests.
